Things I Know (about myself and the world)

Filed Under:

About Myself:

1. I hold grudges (but then again, which girl doesn't?)

2. I'm terrible at interpreting hidden/subliminal messages. Oh, and sarcasm.

3. I'm afraid of letting others down.

4. As a result of number 3, I basically have an inability to say no.

5. I'm very self-critical, so when I say I did something badly, I mean it.

About The World:

1. Fairness has nothing to do with anything.

... that pretty much sums up everything.

    About The World - #1 -- oh, how I wish this wasn't true :P

About Myself - #3 -- I'm afraid of letting people I care about down. Other than that I learn to distance myself.

I have to say that I can identify with item #1 to #5. Because I am basically those myself.

"I'm terrible at interpreting hidden/subliminal messages. Oh, and sarcasm."

I'm just the opposite! I read waaaay too much into things that people say or do, body language, commercials, movies, music, etc. I tend to over-think things which is really more of a hassle than it is beneficial, as it probably makes me paranoid -- but! It might also make me a good psychologist, so I don't care :P

I was gonna reply to your comment with something about a hidden message or something to confuse you, but then I read that you're very self critical, and I didn't want to depress you.

This blog post sounds a lot like me, which makes sense but is also a little disturbing. here are things i know about the things you know about yourself and the world:

1.most girls do yes, some are better at it than others, i wouldn't really say you're much of a grudge holder, seriously name one grudge you've held?. I'm clearly not good at it, as today i had a very pleasent conversation with bike scar on the bus today. lol bike scar, thought i could probably do well if i put my mind to it, at least that's what mr. rogers told me.

    2. Man you are so bad with sarcasm, though you have gotten better at it to be honest. Being that it is my #2 form of communication (#1-pessimist rant, #3-fangirl babble) i can honestly say you get me more often then you used to.

    3. lol which kinda proves that you don't treat them like objects, by the way. don't worry so am i, sometimes, sometimes i'm just selfish, here's the thing though i've never seen you let any one down so either it's done you well or you're worried about nothing.

    4. untrue, yo give me the reggie look and say "NO" when i say/do/think something stupid. also you're good at saying no to yourself if you haven't noticed, i know you're thinking right now that that's not what you mean but you get my somewhat silly point.

    5. Your logic here doesn't make sense. The fact that you are overly self-critical means when you say you did something badly it wasn't actually as bad as you make it out to be, because you're being too harsh. As you know i'm even more self-critical then you are, especially with you as a comparison and the fact that you're a gillion times smarter than i am. Honestly though, you are too critical about yourself, i wish i had the skill/intelligence that you do.

    1. True dat my friend to quote a mcfly song
"life is unfair for the people who care,
stick your nose in the air and that's how you go far"
good song titled one for the radio.
though i wish greatly that the world was more just and as often as possible try to make it so.

now i'm gonna listen to mcfly a while, you rock, remember that,

-Marbles ("marbles has marbles on her back" - sj in french today)

    1. YES. Grudges have become my vice and downfall. :(

    2. I think I have the reserve of this. I tend to "read" too much in others, because I always think there's always some ulterior motive behind something even if it's just a casual remark.

    3. Story of my life. :(

    4. Yeah, I can identify.

    5. This too.

And I agree, fairness doesn't really seem to have a place in this world anymore. So much for what they taught us as little kids!

Something to say?
