Odd Things at 1:30am

WARNING: this will be very incoherent, as psychobabble usually is. I apologize for sounding like a maniac/buffoon.

So, it's 1:30 in the morning, and I'm not in bed. (Nick, if you're reading this, I'm sorry! Time flies when you're watching Youtube clips of figure skating!)

And when it's this early in the morning, I get some really random thoughts, such as:

  1. I have an irrational fear of my hair dryer exploding in my hand, due to the humidity in the bathroom. Someone please give me proof that this isn't possible.

  2. Everyone (read: my relatives) has been telling me that I look skinner, and I don't believe them. But today, I was trying on jeans and ended up wearing a 25, which is 2 sizes down from 2 years ago. I'm still at a healthy weight, but now my mother's going to be shoving food into my mouth. Not that she doesn't already. However, I am going to blame this on vanity sizing. Yes, I am stubborn.

  3. Getting a 102% in Calculus and Vectors seems pretty good right now, but the semester's far from over, and the only direction that mark can go is DOWN. :(

  4. I also have an irrational fear of some crazy killer coming into our house in the evening and murdering everyone in their sleep. I knew it wasn't a good idea for me to watch all those crazy Chinese dramas... when I was 4.

  5. OLYMPICS WOOOOOOO! I'm not cheering for a particular team; I just love it when medals are awarded to those who deserve them the most.

  6. I think, therefore I am - Does that mean that we stop thinking after death? Do we just ...cease to think? Like "omg I'm dying omg om--" ? I've always wondered what happens after death. It's a scary thought. Scarier at 1:32 in the morning. If that's the case, I imagine it would be like a dreamless sleep. But then, we'd just stop... being.

That frightens me immensely. I should stop thinking and go to bed now.

Early morning streams of conch are the best! I used to have that same fear of an intruder; as a result, I'd always draw my shades during the night. And I totally agree with you on #5. :)

    Wow random!

And don't worry I was up that late also, and nick should make sure not to judge cause figure skating and youtube are addictive.

    1. yeah it is irrational, i don't know what to say for that one, my fear is getting my hair caught in it, cause that happened once.

    2. You're very skinny, that means we haven't been hanging out enough, because when we hang out we just sit on your basement floor and eat stuff that's bad for us.

    3. Not necessarily my friend, that can go up with the presence of more bonus questions. Reach to your inner David, you can get 107% on the next one.

    4. I have that fear as well, to me it seems highly rational, that's something you should be worried about, I mean we live in pleasantville but that doesn't mean we won't live in scary places later. I'm very afraid of serial killers and the window, in that serial killers can get in through it.

5.TEAM CANADA!!!! I will convert you no matter how long it takes, even if we're 80 I will get you to cheer for Canada and dress in red and white.

    6. Wow scary and deep, very nightime nutso thinking, more interesting than day time thinking.

What time did you go to bed at? For me it was about 2-2:30.

This is incredibly random but I love it. It's like... ~real Regina~.

I think it's cute that you go for everyone in the Olympics! I can't say I do, but I definitely go for teams other than Canada. I like the countries with only a few athletes - I find it adorable.

Get to sleep earlier tonight! :P

I always get the "sleepy hahas" when I stay up too late. Instead of getting paranoid like you seem to, I just get really amused by everything :P

And I like your shared Olympic spirit :D

Omg I know what you mean about intruders creeping in and killing everyone in their sleep! I have the EXACT same fear and will often sleep under covers even if it stifling hot. I'm pretty sure half the world has this fear so...whoo to us :P

I'm glad you went to bed when you did...any more psychobabble and you might have made me just as freaked as you are!

Something to say?
